Below is your weekly dose of 4 Thought Friday, a short list of idea’s, thoughts, and experiments from a few members of the Mako Team. Enjoy!

Kyle’s Grateful:

Two Sundays ago, a group of us had the opportunity to help the victims of Hurricane Michael. I have seen pictures of the devastation, but seeing it in person is very eye-opening. It really hit home that this could have easily happened to us.

My family was into for the week visiting when we got the news that we could get in Panama City and help. As we were in the middle of cleaning up, a moment of gratitude came over me. I had my family and my Mako family side-by-side for the first time in my life. It was pure joy! In tough times, it’s hard to see joy, but seeing the nation, state, communities, and families come together in a time of need is truly amazing and I am grateful that I was able to be a part of it. Take a moment today to think of something or someone you are grateful for and let it fill you with joy!

Carlos is Enjoying:

Enjoy the weekend and recharge your body!

It’s finally the weekend! Weekends are great to sleep more, recharge your body, etc. However, most of the times I used to take the phrase “recharge your body and rest” as “stay on the couch and watch Netflix all day”. What I’ve realized is that when I do that, I am wasting a day that I can do something productive- and I am becoming lazier. Lately, I’ve been using the weekends to spend time with my friends, family, girlfriend and do something outside the house. That’s the best way to recharge your body! Be around people with good energy, laugh, eat your favorite dish, laugh more, and of course- sleep! I promise that if you’re used to those “lazy Sunday’s watching TV all day” and you switch to spending more time with your family and going for a walk downtown or to a park, you will be more energized for the upcoming week!

Seth’s Reading:

I recently finished reading a novel called The Chemist. I don’t usually read novels like this when it comes to fiction I’ve been working my way through a few different young adult series, but I picked this book up on the sale rack and I was extremely happy with the purchase. I’m a big fan of reading fiction before bed to help turn the monkey mind off, and I will plan to read similar novels to this one in the future.

Brandon’s Enjoying:

I’ve been enjoying monthly float therapy at Mode here in Pensacola. If you’re unfamiliar with this, you float in a tank of Epsom salt in total darkness and quiet. I like to set intentions for each time I go. Sometimes it’s to heal and recover, other times its just to unplug and let my mind wander. Each time I go it’s a little different experience for me personally, but no matter what I always leave clear-headed and relaxed.
